When Kelly Matthews, Principal at Matthews Business Associate Services (MBA Services), prepared for undergraduate school, she was blessed with a cash award from the city of Washington, DC, as well as a four-year academic scholarship and work-study job from Seton Hill University. This fiscal windfall not only made it possible for Kelly to receive her bachelor’s degree without incurring any debt, it also allowed her to do the same at Central Michigan University, where she earned her master’s degree.
In an effort to support students of all ages in the Washington, DC metropolitan area, in 2013, MBA Services created the Dollars 4 Scholars Program with two basic principles in mind: “We’re all in this together”, and “It takes a village”. Although not a requirement, it is our sincere hope that applicants remember these principles as they go forward and when possible provide assistance to others striving for academic excellence!
For consideration, applications must be completed and submitted no later than July 1, 5 p.m. eastern standard time.
